cestino + ode to a wildflower garden

sono una "knitter" ["una che lavora a maglia" per dirlo in italiano] 

ho cominciato ad armeggiare con i ferri da maglia tradizionali da bambina, 

producendo sciarpe multicolore con gli avanzi di lana che trovavo in casa. [anche mia mamma lavorava a maglia]

poi piano, piano ho cominciato a perfezionare la tecnica con i maglioni,  riuscivo persino ad inventarmi i modelli!

ai miei tempi andavano di moda i maglioni oversize, belli grandi, comodi e caldi.quindi nessun problema di taglia!

I'm a " knitter"

I've begun to knit  with straights needles when I was a little girl.

I produced multicolored scarves with scraps of wool that I found at home
[my mom was a knitter too].

then slowly I managed to knit jumpers with my own patterns too!

in those days oversized sweaters were in fashion, nice, huge, comfy and cozy. so no matter about the size!

tre anni fa sono diventata una knitter compulsiva.

ho frequentato un corso di maglia per imparare a sferruzzare con i ferri circolari, adesso la moda è questa. 

oltretutto sono più comodi, maneggevoli, li puoi portare ovunque con te.

 puoi lavorare sul treno, mentre prendi il caffè,  senza avere paura di infilzare qualcuno mentre ti destreggi con qualche punto  più complicato del solito.

tre years ago I became a compulsive knitter.

I attended knitting lessons with circular needles, nowadays this is the way.

moreover they are more comfortable, handy and you can carry them everywhere.

you can knit on the train, while having coffee, without any fear to stick a needle to somebody while working a more complicate stitch than usual :)

siccome mi capita spesso di lavorare a maglia fuori casa ho pensato ad una borsa da lavoro comoda da portarmi in giro
l'ho chiamata "cestino" 
 tutta questa storia per dirvi che "cestino" è stato scelto da Stefania e Giulia Lanivendole per il loro yarn club.
 ve ne parlo solo ora perché era  una sorpresa per le persone che dovevano ricevere questo bellissimo kit.
ora che tutti i "cestini" hanno raggiunto le loro nuove case ve li mostro
uno ad uno.

as it often happens to knit outside home, I thought at a comfy project bag to carry everywhere 

I called it  "cestino" [basket]

and all this story  is just to tell you "cestino" was chosen by Stefania and Giulia Lanivendole for their yarn club.

I'm talking about it only now, because it was a surprise for those who had to get  this wonderful kit

by now all the kits have reachead their home, 

so I'll show you all of them.
